FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do NewAge Sinks come with a pre-drilled faucet hole?

NewAge Sinks come pre-drilled for a mono-faucet. If another type of faucet is preferred, a metal hole saw will be required. Please follow the specific instructions provided by the faucet supplier when installing your faucet.

Can my sink rust?

NewAge Sinks are made from 304 grade stainless steel and are corrosion resistant. However, rust stains may form over time if the sink is not properly maintained, caused by deposits from water or foods. Scrubbing the stains with a mild cleanser or metal cleaner should solve this problem immediately. Be sure to clean in the same direction as the grain lines of the finish.

Can hardwater spots be removed?

If you notice hard water spots on the surface of your sink, take the following steps to bring your sink back to its original condition. 1. Apply clean water with a cleaning sponge and rub gently in the direction of the grain. If the mark won?t shift, it may be necessary to use a stainless steel cleaner, in which case apply the cleaner and rub gently. 2. After cleaning it is important to rinse the stainless steel with clean fresh water and buff with a soft cloth. Remember to always rub with the grain, NEVER across as you will ruin the finish, and the steel can lose its shine. If you must use a scourer, use a plastic scrub pad with no metal content.

Can I use a rubber mat in my sink?

We do not recommend using a rubber mat. This will trap water, causing iron deposits and surface discoloration over time.

Can my sink withstand extreme temperature?

Stainless steel withstands extreme hot and cold temperatures, along with sudden temperature changes. That means that you can drain hot boiling pasta in your sink, followed with a rinse of ice-cold water, without causing any damage to your sink's surface.

Are NewAge Sinks certified?

NewAge sinks are cUPC certified, meeting US and Canadian plumbing requirements.

Is the sink compatible with compost compacters?

NewAge Sinks are manufactured with 16 gauge stainless steel thick material and should withstand the weight and pressure of standard consumer compost compacters. Please understand the installation requirements of the compost compacter before installation.

Are NewAge Sinks under warranty?

When this product is installed, operated and maintained according to the instructions, NewAge provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty to replace the defective product or parts if the part fails as a result of defective materials or workmanship. Please read through our Home Cabinet warranty and if you have any additional inquiries or questions, contact NewAge Products Customer Service at 1.877.306.8930.

Can I use a faucet other than what NewAge offers?

Yes, you may choose to purchase a faucet elsewhere and these will be compatible with our Sinks. Ensure you look for a mono style kitchen faucet; the hole dimension on the sink is 1.5 inches in diameter.

Countertop Clearance

The overmount sink can fit countertops of a thickness that range in thickness 9/10in to 1-1/2in (23-38mm).

Install on laminate or wood countertop

The overmount sink can be installed on both laminates and wood countertop. With wood countertops, we recommend sealing these before installing a sink. We do not recommend using our undermount sinks if you have either laminates or wood countertops.

Can I cut additional holes in the sink

We do not recommend altering the sink in any way including drilling extra holes, it would compromise the structural integrity of the sink and doing so would void the warranty.

Is the grate at the bottom strong enough to support cast iron cookware?

Yes, the sink grids can accommodate cast iron cookware.

What is recommended to use to clean this sink?

To prevent water spots & clouding, rinse and wipe the inside of the sink with a microfiber cleaning cloth after every use. For more thorough cleaning, use water and a mild liquid soap detergent (ammonia-free). Apply the cleaner with a soft sponge, then rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a microfiber cleaning cloth. Do not use cleaners containing any abrasive powders, bleach, ammonia, alcohol, or chlorine nor also abrasive pads, steel wool, or wire brushes when cleaning the sink. Using these will damage or wear down the sink surface.
